A smooth body is a happy body. Mine have been ever so much smoother since using some burnishing tools I found at a stationery. The ones I use are made by Letraset and were designed for use with press-on lettering. They come in two sizes and are made of Teflon (or Teflon coated, I can't tell which). I have found the larger of the two more useful.

A burnisher will not make a flowing body out of a lumpy one but will smooth out minor imperfections on one where the floss was applied with care.
