OUTLINE OF THE GROUP MEETING

From Marvin Nolte

The "Group" met in Eugene, Oregon (site of the 1990 FFF Conclave) on July 30, 1990. That brief meeting was to set the agenda for a longer meeting to be held the next evening and to plan the expedition to William Cushner's Museum, which took place the next day. During an excellent dinner (thanks Dick) Tuesday evening, July 31st. some twenty-four folks met and discussed the following:

- The Salmon Flyer should continue and on a quarterly basis. The advertising policy for the bulletin should be: state the items you have for sale or trade, give your address so that interested parties may contact you, do not list prices. After sending you $5.00 for the bulletin you have one year send an article. If you wish to correspond with someone in the Group and do not have their address, contact the editor. Some ideas for new sections in the bulletin included: a swap corner, and a Salmon Fly Review (history).

- A committee consisting of Steve Brocco (chair), John Van der Hoof, and Christopher Helm will accept nominees for the Chubski/Price Foundation funds ($500.00). If you know of someone (they do not have to be an Atlantic Salmon fly tier) who could use some financial assistance attending next year's conclave please send their names to Steve no later than November 30 of this year.

- We are going to make a fly plate for next year's Conclave. Please send your fly to Steve Brocco no later than June 1, 1991.

- The next meeting of the Group will be at next year's Conclave. We will meet on the Saturday or Sunday (or both) before the Conclave to tie together. Chairman for next year's meeting will be Christopher Helm, ably assisted by Don Deluca. Details of the meeting and tying session will appear in the Salmon Flyer. The tying session will be held on the Saturday and Sunday prior to next years FFF Conclave, in West Yellowstone, with Eugene Sunday as the Chairman.

- A feather fund was established to look into the feasibility of raising birds and splitting the feathers between contributors. Eugene Sunday is researching the possibilities and is the person to contact if you can be of assistance.
