EDITOR'S NOTE
by Peter Lewis
Many thanks to all those who sent in articles. Couldn't have been done without you. Please keep them coming: ruminations, researches, rambles, what have you.
A number of readers have sent in suggestions for articles they would like to see appear in the Flyer. They include: dressings for and comments on the Blacker flies which appeared in his Art of the Fly (1855); the complete story behind the Kelson/Marston imbroglio; articles on tools, silk, gut; an explanation of Crosfield's tying methods, and book reviews.

Pages three and four---color photocopies of Meg with the Muckle Mouth and Meg in Her Braws, tied by Alex Simpson of Scotland, which appeared in Bates' Art of the Atlantic Salmon Fly. Reproduced by kind permission from David Godine, Publishers.
Page nine---black-and-white photocopy of an experimental Sir Alec by Bob Arnold.
