CHALLENGE

Nick Filonovich

This challenge was derived from a pattern I found quite interesting and unique. The fly is The Chatterer by Maj. J.P. Traherne and it offers a body which is almost completely made of veiling feathers. I liked the concept of a fully veiled body and thought that the membership would enjoy working on a technique that they either have never done before or at least not done in some time.

Due to the rarity of Chatterer, Indian Crow and Toucan, substitutes such as dyed Ringneck Pheasant or other such feathers will work beautifully for this pattern. Please keep in mind that this Challenge is for fun and to see other's tying techniques, not an exhibition or competition.

As with the previous Challenges, your participation is what will make this Challenge another great success. So, all of you members that have not tied a fly for the past Challenges (this if for the 99 of you who haven't submitted yet!) and the ones who have, please enjoy tying the pattern I have included and I hope you have a great deal of fun!

Please feel free to call me with any questions or comments. I'll be glad to help in any way that I can.
