Starting with the next issue of The Salmon Flyer, I am volunteering to edit a question and answer column. I'm proposing that you send me your questions, I will locate and contact the appropriate source(s) to answer them and then write up the information for inclusion in The Salmon Flyer.
I suggest that the following guidelines be followed:
1) First, this column will not be a source of information on how or where to obtain materials. However, questions on the use or preparation of either classic or substitue materials would be appropriate.
2) I do not pretend to know the answers to your questions. I will, with the help of the editor of The Salmon Flyer and several other friends, find out who to contact to get an answer. I visualize that several individuals could be contacted to answer one question because of the various techniques, interpretations, etc. that we all have.
3) After receiving the question and then obtaining the answer, I will write up this information for inclusion in The Salmon Flyer. Some editorial rights will be retained for purposes of continuity, readability, etc. Several questions may be combined into a single, more generic, question for clarity.
4) Questions like "how do I ...." would seem to be ideal candidates for this column although any and all questions will be accepted. If I cannot find an answer for your question, I'll let you know this also.
Thanks in advance for sending in your questions. More important, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience in answering the questions for other members of the group.
