Yes, I'm afraid your eyes are not deceiving you. This is a very small issue. In fact, It's the smallest issue for probably the last five years, a huge chunk of the Salmon Flyer's eight year history. Why? Lack of support, is the most obvious answer but, surely, the true answer is more complicated than that. Our membership still numbers close to 100 although we lost a fair amount of subscribers before I took over again last year as the editor.

As you all do not need to hear again, this little magazine is totally dependent on the contributions of its subscribers. Period. No contributions, no magazine. And it should come as no surprise to anyone that if more articles are not forthcoming from the readers, this Flyer will fade into the mists of time and we will have to refund you the balance of your subscription fees.

I don't want this to happen and I know you don't either.

We all care about this magazine - that's why we still have a good number of subscribers. But, please do more than just send in your money! Send me an article on something, anything. Believe me, you don't need to have the skills of an Ernest Hemingway or Michael Crichton to submit something. You don't need a degree in journalism or have been a national spelling bee winner to contribute, I will help out by copyediting your manuscript.

So, let's keep this Flyer going!
