Gene Sunday introduced me to Johnny Kilmer when he was a high school kid raising exotic birds. The young man was a good fly tier and had an amazing aviary of some rare and unusual birds. He was crossing things like Blue Eared X Golden or Silver or you name it pheasants and crossing a Guinea with an Impeyan to name a few. There is much more to tell about that chapter. He’s now Dr John Kilmer, practicing medicine right in the area that I live.
