Description
3 Strand Twisted Gut
Japanese Silk Gut was manufactured from the late 1940’s through the early 1950’s in “Occupied Japan” in the years following WW II. It is somewhat of a mystery as to the process they used but it was designed to be a continues length of monofilament fishing line. Obviously Nylon won out as this stuff didn’t seem to gain any popularity. It does eventually dissolve in water which is not a good thing if you are making fishing line.
